Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s baby sparks heartwarming nickname for Jon Bon Jovi
The 'Stranger Things' star shares how her daughter’s arrival in 2025 gave Jon Bon Jovi a new role
Jon Bon Jovi is embracing a softer spotlight offstage after revealing a heartwarming new family nickname given to him by his granddaughter.
Speaking about life as a grandfather, the rock icon shared that he now proudly wears a bracelet inscribed with the words “Papa Jon”—a playful title that quickly became a family favourite after being coined within the household of his son, Jon Bon Jovi.
“See my bracelet? It says ‘Papa Jon’—I’m like the pizzeria… it’s awesome, it’s absolutely awesome,” he said, reflecting on the affectionate new identity that came after actor Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi welcomed their baby girl via adoption in 2025.
The couple announced they had adopted a daughter last year, marking a major new chapter for the family and turning Jon Bon Jovi into a first-time grandfather.
The moment, he says, has reshaped his life in ways he didn’t expect.
Beyond family life, Jon Bon Jovi also reflected on his return to music after vocal cord surgery sidelined him for several years.
He praised his bandmates for standing by him throughout the recovery process, saying they never considered stepping away or pursuing other projects during his absence.
“They never doubted me and never looked for work or decided to retire,” he said, adding that their loyalty deepened his appreciation for them during his recovery.
The band is now preparing for a major return to the stage, including upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium in September—Jon Bon Jovi’s first UK performances in years.
The run will also include stops on the band’s “Forever” tour, which will showcase material from their 2024 comeback album.
Reflecting on his return, Jon Bon Jovi said the focus is not on perfection but performance.
“It’s not about perfection. It’s about excellence,” he explained, describing the tour as both a celebration and a renewed creative chapter.
