Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son Pax stays in touch with paternal family despite rift
The family rift continues as Pax keeps limited contact with Brad Pitt’s side while his siblings move away
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s family estrangement continues to draw attention, with reports suggesting that while most of their children have distanced themselves from Pitt, one son is still maintaining contact with his extended paternal relatives.
According to Page Six, Pax Jolie-Pitt, 22, remains in touch with members of the Pitt family despite his strained relationship with his father.
A source told the outlet that he “is still close with his dad’s side of the family and continues to spend time with them,” including attending a recent family dinner celebrating a cousin’s engagement.
Another insider said Pax recently joined relatives, including Brad Pitt’s sister Julie Pitt Neal, for a family gathering, though his relationship with his father remains limited.
“He doesn’t have much of a relationship with Brad,” the source added.
The update comes as reports indicate that the couple’s other children have increasingly distanced themselves from Pitt by dropping “Pitt” from their surnames.
Zahara Jolie-Pitt was previously reported to have removed the surname during a college sorority event, while Shiloh and Maddox have also legally changed their names.
More recently, Knox has been reported to have used only “Jolie” on his high school diploma, while Vivienne was credited without the Pitt surname in a Broadway Playbill for The Outsiders.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalised their divorce in December 2024 following years of legal proceedings, bringing a formal end to one of Hollywood’s most high-profile relationships.
