Adele sparks new album rumors with secret London recording sessions
The pop icon is reportedly back in recording sessions as fans await her return with fresh music
Adele is reportedly preparing for a major music comeback after spending nearly two years away from the spotlight.
The 38-year-old pop superstar is said to have returned to London to record new music, with reports claiming she has been spotted at Church Studios in Crouch End, North London — the same studio where she worked on parts of her 2015 album 25.
The reported studio sessions come after Adele stepped away from performing in November 2024, following the conclusion of her successful Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
According to a source, the singer has been spending her time writing and recording new material while keeping a low profile during her stay in London.
“Adele is spending at least a fortnight in London writing and recording music,” the insider reportedly told The Sun.
“She was in and out of sessions last week and will be back in there this week.”
The source added that Adele feels comfortable working at Church Studios because it is connected to producer Paul Epworth, who has collaborated with her in the past.
The studio has also hosted several major artists over the years, including Coldplay, Oasis, and Blur.
Reports suggest Adele chose London as the location for her new music because she wants to reconnect with her hometown and bring more personal influences into her upcoming work.
“Adele has been living in LA for a decade now and although she loves it, her roots in London are very important to her,” a source reportedly shared.
The insider claimed people close to the singer encouraged her to revisit her London background for inspiration, believing it could help shape a different sound and direction for her next project.
Since returning to the UK, Adele has also been seen attending social events, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s birthday celebration and Lola Young’s concert at the O2 Academy Brixton.
While Adele has not officially announced a new album or release plans, her reported return to the studio has sparked excitement among fans eager for new music.
Before taking her break, Adele explained that her Las Vegas residency allowed her to maintain a balance between her career and family life, especially spending time with her son Angelo.
“I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal,” Adele told fans during her final performance, adding that she was grateful for the opportunity to continue performing while being present for her son.
