Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, has reportedly embraced Islam during his time in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi Gazette, the actor converted to Islam after spending time in the country while working on an entertainment project and developing connections with members of the Muslim community.

The report, citing General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh, stated that Esposito recited the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, and later joined members of a production team in prayer at a mosque in Morocco.

Esposito has built a decades-long career in Hollywood, earning global recognition for his performances across film and television.

The actor became widely known for portraying the calculating drug kingpin Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul, a role that earned him critical acclaim and multiple award nominations.

He has also appeared in major projects, including The Mandalorian and several other Hollywood productions throughout his career.
