Paul Anthony Kelly undergoes transformation for 'American Horror Story'

Actor Paul Anthony Kelly underwent a physical transformation for an upcoming role in the television series American Horror Story. Producer Ryan Murphy shared a photograph of the performer, who dyed his hair blonde to move from one of the creator's television projects to another. Kelly previously portrayed JFK Jr. in the series Love Story before joining the long-running horror franchise.

Deadline reported that the upcoming American Horror Story Season 13 will expand upon the Coven concept introduced in the third season. The upcoming instalment will connect directly with previous seasons of the anthology, including Murder House, Hotel, and Apocalypse. In addition to his television commitments, Kelly is scheduled to appear in the feature film The Housemaid’s Secret, a sequel starring Kirsten Dunst and Sydney Sweeney.

The cast features several returning franchise veterans, including Sarah Paulson reprising her role as Cordelia Goode, the Supreme of the New Orleans witches. Billie Lourd will return as Mallory, alongside recurring actors Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. The ensemble also features musical artist Ariana Grande and actor Joey Pollari, while Mena Suvari and Berto Colon joined the upcoming instalment.

Returning performers John Carroll Lynch and Mat Fraser will portray their respective characters from the Freak Show season, Twisty the Clown and Paul the Illustrated Seal. Sources indicated that Colon will portray Joe the Doorman, an individual employed by a character played by Jessica Lange.

American Horror Story is the longest-running hour-long series on FX and has earned more than 100 Emmy nominations since launching in 2011. The 20th Television production is executive produced by Murphy, Falchuk, Ned Martel, Charlie Carver, Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Tanase Popa, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Jennifer Salt, and Tim Minear.
