A video purporting to show pop music megastar Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce on their honeymoon in the Bahamas circulated widely across social media platforms this week. The viral clip gathered thousands of views on X and other social networking websites alongside captions claiming the newlyweds were enjoying a beach swing ride together. The footage emerged online just days after the high-profile couple married during a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York.

However, independent fact-checkers confirmed that the footage does not feature Swift or Kelce, branding the accompanying social media captions as entirely misleading. The widely shared clip actually depicts unnamed tourists visiting a beach in Thailand. Fact-checkers established that the original video has been circulating online since 2018, long before the couple began their relationship.

The online speculation followed the official wedding of Swift and Kelce, both aged 36, who tied the knot during a private ceremony on Friday. Comedian Adam Sandler officiated the nuptials in front of family and friends. The bridal party included the singer’s brother, Austin Swift, who served as the man of honour, whilst the groom's brother and retired football star, Jason Kelce, acted as the best man. According to an official statement, the bride and groom wore custom looks created by fashion house Christian Dior, and Swift paired her outfit with jewellery items designed by Cartier. The couple chose not to release any official photographs from the event to the public.
