Margaret Qualley sets the record straight on Jack Antonoff split ‘no trust issues’
Margaret Qualley denies infidelity claims after Jack Antonoff breakup

Margaret Qualley is shutting down speculation surrounding her split from husband Jack Antonoff, firmly denying reports that infidelity or trust issues led to the end of their marriage.

The Substance actress and the Bleachers frontman, who tied the knot in August 2023, sparked breakup rumours earlier this month after Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding alongside his sister, Rachel Antonoff, instead of Qualley.

Days later, reports surfaced that the couple had gone their separate ways after less than three years of marriage.

Now, Qualley’s spokesperson has addressed the rumours directly, insisting the claims circulating about the breakup are false.

“The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue,” the representative said.

“There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship.”

The statement emphasised that, despite ending their marriage, the pair continue to care deeply for one another.

“They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy.”

The spokesperson’s remarks echo an earlier source, who told People magazine that the former couple remain committed to handling their separation amicably.

“They love each other deeply and are very sweet to each other. They are going through this process with nothing but kindness and unity,” the insider said, adding that “the rumours swirling around out there about them just aren’t true.”

The denial comes only months after Antonoff reflected on the early days of their romance, revealing he knew almost instantly that Qualley was someone he wanted to marry.

Appearing on The Howard Stern Show, the Grammy-winning musician recalled meeting the actress at a 2021 rooftop party.

“I saw her and it was like a f****** Hallmark movie that doesn't seem believable,” Antonoff said. “When I met her, I started imagining things that I'd never even imagined, like marriage.”

He also joked that he knew Qualley’s feelings were genuine because of her longtime celebrity crush.

“You know how I know it's true? Because her crush since she was a kid was Adam Sandler, and I'm not far,” he joked.

“I think Sandler's beautiful, so I'm not trying to degrade him in any way. But that to me clarifies that this is real because if you think Adam Sandler is number one sex symbol, then I could be a guy for you.”

Before their wedding, Qualley also publicly expressed her happiness about finding her life partner.

In a 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress described Antonoff as “my person.”

“I am so happy that I found my person. And it’s real. It’s amazing. It’s the best feeling in the world,” she said. “I’m so excited and so at ease all at once.”

While the reasons behind the split remain private, Qualley’s team has firmly rejected speculation about betrayal, maintaining that the relationship ended with mutual respect and urging the public to respect the privacy of both parties.
