Ariana Grande reignited speculation that she and former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez may be back together after changing the lyrics to Thank U, Next during another stop on her Eternal Sunshine tour.

Performing at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Monday, Grande altered the original lyric, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh," to, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back."

Fans quickly reacted to the unexpected lyric change, with videos from the concert showing the crowd erupting as soon as she sang the revised line.

The latest tweak follows a similar lyric change during a recent Austin performance, where Grande sang that Alvarez had "still got my back."

The lyric changes come after Grande and Alvarez were spotted spending time together in recent weeks.

The pair, who dated between 2015 and 2016, were photographed shopping together over the Fourth of July weekend in Florida. They were also seen dining together in Texas in June.

Despite the sightings, a source previously claimed there was "nothing romantic" between the former couple.

Speculation about Grande's relationship with Alvarez intensified after news emerged in June that she and Wicked co-star Ethan Slater had ended their relationship several months earlier.
