Dylan Sprouse has revealed new details about the night an intruder tried to enter his Los Angeles home, clarifying reports that he physically tackled the suspect while protecting his pregnant wife, Barbara Palvin.

Speaking on the July 14 episode of his Wildmen podcast, the 33-year-old actor said reports claiming he wrestled the trespasser to the ground were inaccurate.

"I never tackled the guy, but everybody thinks I did," Sprouse joked. "I'm not correcting that. I want people to think that I did because that's cool. But, for the record, I never tackled the guy."

The incident took place in April after a man allegedly entered the couple's property through an open gate while Sprouse and Palvin were at home.

According to the actor, he and Palvin had been opening Pokémon card packs before he settled down to play video games when he heard someone rattling the front door.

Initially believing it could be his father, Sprouse quickly realized something was wrong because of the late hour.

After alerting Palvin, who immediately called police, Sprouse said he checked the home's security cameras before retrieving his Kimber 1911 handgun and confronting the intruder.

When he asked who was outside, the man allegedly responded, "It's me," before later saying, "Nobody."

Sprouse said the man eventually emerged carrying a cigarette in one hand and a longboard skateboard in the other.

The actor recalled believing the individual appeared disoriented and was likely under the influence of something.

Sprouse instructed the man to slowly leave the property while keeping his hands visible.

Once outside the gate, he ordered him to sit on the ground until police arrived, and the suspect complied without resistance.

The actor said a neighbour approached during the incident, making him feel safer while waiting for officers.

Sprouse added that Palvin, who is expecting the couple's first child, was unharmed by the frightening encounter.

To relax afterwards, the couple watched Pixar movies and ate ice cream together.

The actor also revealed they decided not to press charges because the suspect was taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants.

"Case closed," Sprouse said. "Didn't press charges; he got in the slammer because of his previous arrest warrants, and I want to have him on the pod."
