Despite ending their marriage, Jelly Roll says he and Bunnie Xo 'will always be best friends' as they move forward separately
Jelly Roll is reportedly moving forward with a positive outlook following his divorce from Bunnie Xo, with the country star now concentrating on his music career and personal well-being.
According to a source, the Grammy-winning singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, is "in a good place" after finalizing his divorce earlier this month, ending the couple's 10-year marriage.
"He's focused on his tour and his health," the insider told People, adding that both Jelly Roll and Bunnie wanted to navigate the separation respectfully.
"There was never any desire to drag the process out," the source said. "They both wanted to handle the divorce with respect for one another."
The insider also described the singer as "a very generous person," saying he wanted to ensure the divorce settlement was handled fairly.
Although the financial details remain private, TMZ reported that Bunnie Xo received a one-time lump-sum payment.
The former couple also agreed to divide shared assets, including homes, vehicles, an aircraft and intellectual property, while reportedly committing not to speak negatively about each other publicly.
Meanwhile, Bunnie recently offered fans a glimpse inside her new home on social media in a video with comedian Matt Matthews.
The tour showcased several luxury features, including a spacious closet and makeup room, an oversized bedroom, an outdoor shower and an entire room dedicated to shoes.
Reacting to the lavish space, Matthews jokingly exclaimed, "This is for shoes?" before adding, "I'm not even happy for you! This is stupid," and later quipping, "I live in a trailer compared to this!"
Despite ending their marriage, the former couple appears to have maintained a friendly relationship.
During a concert in June, Jelly Roll told fans, "Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends."
Bunnie has also previously shared on her podcast that the two still hope to have a baby together, even as they move forward with their lives separately.
