Heidi Montag shares biggest struggle during pop comeback
The singer says she is enjoying her return to music after months of rehearsals
Heidi Montag has admitted that returning to the music industry while raising two young children has been one of the biggest challenges of her long-awaited pop comeback.
The 39-year-old reality star recently returned to the stage as a co-headliner at the Neon Skies Festival alongside Kesha and Slayyyter, but said family remains her top priority despite her renewed music ambitions.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Montag explained that she deliberately took a gradual approach to preparing for her performances, knowing that parenting comes with unpredictable challenges.
"My children are my priority," she said, referring to sons Gunner, 8, and Ryker, 3, whom she shares with husband Spencer Pratt.
She added that she wanted to leave room for unexpected situations, including illness, while steadily building toward her return.
According to Montag, she has spent months rehearsing before increasing preparations in the weeks leading up to the festival.
Despite the balancing act, the reality TV star said she is embracing the opportunity to perform again without putting unnecessary pressure on herself.
"I'm feeling really confident and comfortable," she said, adding that she wants to enjoy every moment on stage rather than becoming overwhelmed by expectations.
Montag also reflected on the lessons she has learned throughout her career, saying her comeback proves that success is not limited to one moment in life.
"I think that you don't just have one shot in life," she explained, noting that life is constantly changing and it's never too late to pursue your goals.
The singer, who has been married to Pratt since 2008, said patience and persistence have taught her that many dreams simply take time, practice and the willingness to keep moving forward.
