Tom Holland refers to Zendaya as 'my wife' in latest podcast interview
Tom Holland makes the remark during a light-hearted podcast appearance
Tom Holland publicly referred to Zendaya as his "wife" for the first time since confirming their marriage, making the affectionate remark during a new podcast interview.
The 30-year-old actor appeared on the U.K.'s Dish podcast, where he was asked who he would most like to holiday with in Greece during a quick-fire question round.
Holland jokes about holiday plans
"I think probably my wife would be pretty good," Holland replied.
"It would be a bit strange if I went, 'Sorry babe, I'm gonna take Matt actually.'"
Podcast host Nick Grimshaw joked that a holiday in Mykonos with The Odyssey co-star Matt Damon would be an unusual choice, prompting laughter.
Zendaya encouraged 'The Odyssey' role
The couple, who star together in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, have frequently spoken about working together on the film.
In a recent interview, Holland revealed that Zendaya jokingly told him she would "leave" him if he turned down Nolan's offer to play Telemachus.
He recalled telling her he had been offered "the big one" before revealing the project was directed by Christopher Nolan.
Couple continues to share sweet moments
Holland also joked during a recent Wired interview that Zendaya's character, Athena, could not have romantic feelings for Matt Damon's Odysseus "because she's married to me."
Damon laughed and praised the answer, later joking that Athena teaches Holland's character "true love."
Holland first confirmed he and Zendaya had married during an interview in June, months after stylist Law Roach revealed that the couple's wedding had already taken place.
The actors met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 and publicly confirmed their relationship in 2021. Both currently star in The Odyssey and will reunite in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens later this month.
