Anthony Michael Hall opens up about marriage and fatherhood
The actor revealed that marriage and fatherhood have become the greatest roles he has ever embraced
Anthony Michael Hall has reflected on finding love later in life, saying becoming a husband and father has been the most rewarding chapter of his journey.
The 58-year-old actor, who married Slovakian-born Licia Oskerova in 2020, told People that meeting his wife changed everything.
"I have found my soulmate," Hall said. "I have, and I love her."
The actor, who welcomed son Anthony Michael II in 2024 at the age of 55, said he had always envisioned becoming a parent later in life and has no regrets about waiting.
"I couldn't be happier because I always knew, even when I was a young man, that I wanted to get started later," he previously said of embracing fatherhood.
Hall described family life as the most meaningful role he has ever taken on during his five-decade career in Hollywood.
"Fatherhood and being a husband—that's absolutely the greatest role," he said. "It's a full-time job... but we love it. We just embrace it, and our son is such a joy."
The actor also shared an update on his young son, revealing he started preschool around six months ago and is thriving.
"He's doing great. He's eating so much—I mean, this kid is like a little giant. He looks like he's 5 years old already. But we're having a great time. It's incredible," Hall said.
The couple renewed their wedding vows in 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their original plans to marry at St. Mary's Cathedral in Miami in November 2020.
Instead, they held a private civil ceremony on a Miami beach before fulfilling their original promise with a cathedral celebration three years later.
Sharing photos from the occasion on social media, Hall wrote that he was grateful their son could be part of the special day.
"I am happy and so blessed to introduce... My Family," he wrote. "The Hall family. We shall live—happily, ever after."
Hall is currently starring in the FOX competition series Nation's Dumbest, which airs Wednesdays and streams the following day on Hulu.
