Jamie Campbell has come forward and given insight about the secret behind his casting for his role in Harry Potter.

He disclosed that landing the gig of young Gellert Grindelwald was only a matter of networking and knowing the right people which helped him secure the role.

Speaking at the Como Fan event in Italy March 17, the 36-year-old English actor revealed, "I had a lot of friends on 'Harry Potter.'"

"And I think one day somebody just was like, 'Do you want to just like to be in this film?' and I was like, 'Yeah, all right. Sounds fun. Sounds cool,'" he continued.

Although he delivered a powerful performance, his appearance in the production was short, leading him to joke about being offered a stunt double for his brief appearance.

"I remember in Deathly Hallows, the only time you see me is when I’m stealing the Elder Wand and jumping out of the window," Jamie reflected. "And I remember David Yates coming up to me as we were filming that one scene, that one scene is my one day of work, and David goes, ‘Do you think you want to stunt double?'"

The Stranger Things star revealed that he firmly refused the offer because then he wouldn’t have been a part of the iconic project.

"And I was like, 'David, if you have a stunt double, I’m not going to be in your film. So no, I don’t want a stunt double. I want to be in your film, God damn it," he added.

When asked about his experience on set with other cast-mates, he recalled getting along with everyone.

"I just remember everyone being really friendly," Jamie stated.

"I remember Tom Felton, who I’ve seen recently, and he was so welcoming and so warm to me."
