Noah Kahan faces humorous critique from children on Celebrity Substitute

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Noah Kahan received some unfiltered feedback during a lighthearted appearance on the latest episode of Celebrity Substitute.

On Wednesday, the 29-year-old "Stick Season" artist visited a classroom where he engaged in a humorous exchange with elementary school students. Kahan jokingly asked the children if he was "chopped"—slang for unattractive—to which the class enthusiastically yelled "Yes!".

However, the pupils spared him the label of "unc," a term used for someone acting old for their age. During the session, one student remarked that Kahan resembled Jesus, prompting the singer to playfully respond: "Jesus is watching you guys today, so let's be on our best behaviour."

Beyond the jests, Kahan utilised his time to teach the children the art of storytelling, encouraging them to find creative inspiration through personal expression.

The group collaborated to rewrite his unreleased song, "Deny, Deny, Deny," before performing the new version for their teachers.

This television appearance precedes the premiere of Kahan's highly anticipated Netflix documentary, Out of Body, scheduled for release on 13 April 2026.

Reflecting on the project via his Instagram account, he admitted to feeling nervous about sharing such personal aspects of his creative journey and family life. "Anything scary or hard is usually worth sharing with the world," he wrote to his followers.

The Vermont-born musician is currently preparing for the launch of his newest studio album, The Great Divide, which is set to arrive on 24 April 2026.

Following the global success of his previous records, Kahan continues to headline major international festivals while maintaining his reputation for raw, vulnerable songwriting.
