'Bob's Burgers' star Eugene Mirman hospitalised after New Hampshire car crash

Bob’s Burgers voice actor and former Flight of the Conchords cast member Eugene Mirman has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being involved in a fiery car crash.

The comedian was freed from his 2026 Lucid Gravity after it hit the Bedford Toll Plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford, New Hampshire, shortly before noon on Thursday. The car caught fire, trapping Mirman inside.

No legal charges have been filed, and the situation is currently under investigation.

New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte, along with an experienced state trooper from her security team, were among those who courageously pulled Mirman to safety through the car window.

“Their actions were truly heroic,” stated Colonel Mark B. Hall. “Without hesitation, they risked their safety to help someone in dire need.”

Mirman is renowned for his role as Gene Belcher, the musically gifted middle child on Fox’s Bob’s Burgers since its start in 2011.

He also played Eugene in Flight of the Conchords during its run on HBO from 2007 to 2009.
