Lewis Capaldi sets the record straight on Taylor Swift feud rumour

Lewis Capaldi recently set the record straight on feud speculations between him and Taylor Swift.

It is believed that the Someone You Loved crooner and theCruel Summer singer didn’t get along when they both appeared on The Graham Norton Show in October.

At the time, the host asked Lewis about his EP that had been released around the same time and he claimed he wasn’t allowed to talk about it.

This prompted fans to think that Lewis was prohibited from discussing his EP because Taylor had just released The Life of a Showgirl album and they didn’t want him to steal her spotlight.

However, the Strangers singer lately dismissed the bizarre rumour during an appearance on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show this week.

Lewis revealed that it was “total hogwash”

“I saw a TikTok about that. And it’s a woman being like, ‘Taylor did this, and she’s evil,’ and this and that. And I’m going like, ‘That’s completely made up,’” explained the 29-year-old singer.

Lewis then shared what actually happened that time on Graham’s show.

“Basically, my EP hadn’t been announced yet. So, I was told by my label, ‘Don’t tell people before you go on.’ Not like a, ‘You can’t tell people.’ It was like, ‘It’s not been announced yet, so don’t tell people,’” he continued.

Lewis remarked, “And then we went on Graham Norton, and Graham said, ‘You’ve got this new EP coming out.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I thought I wasn’t meant to mention it.’”

Meanwhile, the singer mentioned that since Taylor had asked him, “’Who said that?’ I think people thought, well … the TikTok I saw was a woman, some lady speculating’”.

Therefore, Lewis added, “I think she thought that was what Taylor was thinking. But that was complete nonsense.”
