Brad Pitt’s involvement in The Batman Part II has finally been addressed.

After the film’s release date was postponed, speculation about the cast began circulating online.

Among the most consistent online rumour was one involving the 61-year-old actor.

Fans had been hoping to see him play one of the major villains in the upcoming film.

According to a source close to the production, the ongoing speculation has been shut down.

“Is Brad Pitt in The Batman Part II? This one has been in the ether for months, and we looked into it,” the tipster told The Hollywood Reporter.

The insider added, “Sadly, sources close to the production say no, Pitt will not be in the movie, which we are told is now aiming to shoot in May.”

While expectations of seeing Pitt star in a superhero film may have faded, Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in negotiations to join The Batman Part II.

The highly anticipated sequel will see Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, and Jeffrey Wright return.

The Batman II is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2027.
