Meghan and Jessica Mulroney still on 'positive terms' despite 2020 scandal

Ben Mulroney has provided a rare update on the fractured friendship between his estranged wife, Jessica, and Meghan Markle.

Speaking on the Can't Be Censored podcast on Wednesday, the 49-year-old presenter suggested that despite years of rumours regarding a fallout, the pair remain "on positive terms."

While Ben noted it was "Jess's story to tell," his comments offer a fresh perspective six months after the Mulroneys announced their separation following 16 years of marriage.

The bond between the Duchess of Sussex and the Canadian stylist began in Toronto during Meghan's Suits era.

Jessica was once considered Meghan’s "unofficial maid of honour," and her three children played starring roles as page boys and bridesmaids at the 2018 Royal Wedding.

However, the relationship faced intense public scrutiny in 2020 after Jessica was accused of "problematic behaviour" and "white privilege" during a dispute with influencer Sasha Exeter. The scandal cost Jessica her television roles and reportedly left Meghan "mortified."

Despite reports that the Duchess had cut ties to protect her reputation, Jessica insisted at the time that Meghan checked on her daily, calling her "family."
