Justin Timberlake kept his humor intact after being detained in the Hamptons on suspicion of DWI.

Footage from the artist’s June 2024 detention was released on Friday after his failed legal attempt to prevent its release.

During a humorous moment from the incident, Timberlake, 45, made a quip about his race being listed as “white” on a document he had to sign.

When asked to review his forms, he seemed puzzled and looked at an officer, asking, “White?”

The officer chuckled, and he replied with, “Just joking.”

Timberlake chuckled and added, “I’m just messing with you, man.”

The Grammy award-winning musician maintained a cheerful demeanor during the interaction with police, yet he appeared shocked when informed he would have to spend the night in a cell.

“You guys are a trip, man,” he commented.

That evening, Timberlake was stopped by the police after he reportedly ignored a stop sign and deviated between lanes after a night out with pals.

At the taping’s start, approximately 20 minutes, he was halted in his gray 2025 BMW and complied with requests to undergo several examinations.

The entertainer then failed the assessments administered by the officers. The Sag Harbor Village Police Department

He seemed unsure of the directions as he informed the officers, “These are pretty tough tests.”

He then stumbled a few times while trying to walk in a straight line.

“My heart is racing,” he stated.

A female companion showed up after he was handcuffed and placed in a police car, trying to get him released, but she wasn't successful.

“You’re holding Justin Timberlake right now?” she inquired, before pleading, “Can you give me a break because you loved ‘Bye Bye Bye’ or ‘Sexyback’? Please do me a favor!”

Timberlake agreed to a plea deal that reduced his DWI charge to a traffic infraction, making it a non-criminal offense, in September 2024.

Before the agreement, the “Rock Your Body” singer entered a not guilty plea to the initial charges on two occasions.

His lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., strongly asserted previously that the singer was “not impaired” at the point of his arrest.

“The police committed several critical mistakes in this case,” Burke relayed to Page Six a month following his client's apprehension.
