Robert Pattinson revisits iconic twilight debate while promoting new film with Zendaya

Robert Pattinson has revisited the Twilight debate with humor ahead of his latest projects with Zendaya.

In an interview with French outlet Canal+ promoting their upcoming film The Drama, Pattinson responded to the iconic question: Team Edward or Team Jacob?

When asked, Zendaya quickly declared her allegiance. “I’m Team Edward all day, let’s go,” she said.

Pattinson, who famously portrayed vampire Edward Cullen opposite Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black, quipped in response: “No one’s Team Jacob. That was just a marketing thing,” prompting laughter from Zendaya and the reporter.

The playful exchange also touched on the ongoing Twilight revival in popular culture. Pattinson joked about the continued merchandise and fan excitement, while Zendaya teased that she might need to “get the whole thing” herself.

Reflecting on the franchise, Pattinson has often expressed bemusement at its enduring popularity.

In a 2019 interview with Jennifer Lopez for Variety, he described Twilight as “a weird story” and noted the unusual mix of romance and supernatural elements that captured audiences’ imaginations.

Both actors have been keeping busy: The Drama hits theaters on April 3, followed by roles in The Odyssey on July 17 and Dune: Part Three on December 18.

Fans can look forward to seeing Pattinson and Zendaya reunite on-screen, even as playful debates over vampires and werewolves continue to spark nostalgia from the Twilight era.
