Pamela Anderson is lending her voice and presence to a cause she believes in: the irreplaceable value of humans in a digital age.

The actress and activist, 58, has partnered with Aerie for its 100% Aerie Real campaign, which promises never to use AI-generated bodies or models in its marketing.

“Nothing can replace human beings,” Anderson told People. “Unless AI wants to start becoming imperfect like human beings, it'll never have the romance of a performance that's soulful and fearless. There's just no way to mimic that because we're all so different.”

The campaign video underscores this message with a striking visual: Anderson interacts with AI tools as they generate flat, unrealistic models, only for the scene to transform into a vibrant, authentic Aerie set populated by real people. Anderson worked closely with female director Gemma Warren on the project, calling the collaboration “fun and enlightening.”

When she’s not filming, Anderson lives a grounded, analog lifestyle in Vancouver, baking bread, gardening, and playing records. “I really make a conscious effort to pave my own way,” she says.

Anderson has spent recent years reclaiming her narrative through her bestselling memoir Love, Pamela, the documentary Pamela, A Love Story, and a makeup-free lifestyle debut at Paris Fashion Week.

She has also launched a skincare line, Sonsie, and earned acclaim for complex acting roles, including her turn in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl.

Upcoming projects include the comedy Love Is Not the Answer and the dark satire Rosebush Pruning.

“I still feel like I'm kind of scratching my way in there,” she reflects on her ongoing career. “I feel like I'm in the fight. I’ve still got to prove myself, and that’s kind of a good place to be. I want to take on very challenging roles and just keep on working with people that want to work with me.”

Anderson applies the same philosophy to her personal style. She recently chopped her signature long blonde hair into a chic bob, embracing a look that reflects her individuality.

“I'm not dressing for other people. I'm dressing for myself and I look the way I want to look,” she says.

At this stage of life, Anderson embraces freedom and joy. “I never want to become bitter or jaded. I just want to enjoy every day … I really feel there’s freedom, especially in this age. I think we shouldn't be afraid of getting older,” she adds with a laugh.
