Vanessa Hudgens candidly shows hair loss months after giving birth
The 'High School Musical' star jokes about hair shedding after welcoming baby No. 2
Vanessa Hudgens is sharing a candid glimpse into the realities of postpartum life after welcoming her second child with husband Cole Tucker in November 2025.
The 37-year-old actress took to her Instagram Stories on March 30 to document her postpartum hair loss, posting a photo of herself holding several strands of hair with the caption, “And so it begins.”
She later shared a makeup-free selfie showing her long dark locks, joking, “Having a great day even with my hair loss lol,” as she embraced the natural changes following childbirth.
According to the Mayo Clinic, postpartum hair loss is a common condition for new mothers, occurring a few months after delivery due to hormonal fluctuations.
For most women, hair eventually regrows to its original fullness.
Hudgens and Tucker, 29, tied the knot in December 2023 during an intimate ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, and welcomed their first child in mid-2024, just months after their wedding.
The couple has not publicly disclosed the names or sex of their children.
Reflecting on the birth of her second child, Hudgens shared on Instagram last November, “Well…. I did it. Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is. Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do [emoji].”
She also revealed she had popped a blood vessel during labor, underscoring the intensity of the experience.
Hudgens met MLB shortstop Tucker in fall 2020 during a Zoom meditation session, and she has described their wedding as a spiritual and magical experience.
Speaking to Vogue in 2023, she recalled being transported to “some kind of utopia” at the venue, calling the moment whimsical and unforgettable.
