Stephen Colletti prepares for baby no. 1, calls wife Alex Weaver a 'badass'
The couple announced their first child in January and tied the knot in an intimate 2025 courthouse wedding
Stephen Colletti is ready to embrace the chaos of parenthood.
The One Tree Hill alum, 40, caught up exclusively with People at the red carpet premiere of The Reunion: Laguna Beach in Santa Monica, California, on March 26, and shared his excitement about expecting his first child with NASCAR reporter Alex Weaver.
“It sounds crazy, but I'm ready for my life to be put upside down in that way,” Colletti said. “I've been watching my wife take on pregnancy and she's been such a superhero, such a badass.”
He continued, laughing, “I honestly thought it was going to be very overwhelming. And it is, but she's taking it in stride. And I'm like, damn, what a badass… excuse me. But she is.”
Colletti reflected on the journey ahead, saying, “It's very cool to see. And this next chapter, I feel so fortunate it's about to happen. And then we're going to be experiencing it together. And I know we're going to have a lot, a lot to learn.”
The couple first announced they were expecting in January, sharing a black-and-white Instagram post showing Weaver holding her baby bump alongside Colletti. The caption read simply: “Mom & Dad [emoji].”
Colletti and Weaver, 32, began dating in 2021 and two years later, Colletti proposed during a surprise trip to Rome.
The couple described how the proposal caught Weaver completely off guard, disguised as a “Christmas card photo” shoot.
The pair tied the knot in an intimate courthouse wedding in October 2025, sharing photos on Instagram captioned, “Mr. & Mrs. {emoji].” They celebrated with both of their families present for the day.
