JoJo Siwa hints at marriage plans with Chris Hughes after ‘best year ever’
The singer says she’s ready for marriage as her relationship with Chris Hughes approaches one year
JoJo Siwa is looking ahead to a future filled with love—and possibly wedding bells.
The 22-year-old singer and entertainer revealed that she’s “ready” to marry boyfriend Chris Hughes after nearly a year of dating, following their meeting on Celebrity Big Brother.
While speaking to People, the dancer said, “Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes,” Siwa said, referencing her brother’s recent wedding.
“We’re creeping up on our one-year anniversary, so we’re getting there—but we’ve got time.”
While she joked that the timing ultimately lies with Hughes, she made her feelings clear: “When he feels the time is right, I’ll be ready… maybe. I’m just kidding.”
Siwa described her relationship with the 33-year-old TV presenter as the happiest chapter of her life so far.
“It’s been the best year ever, and it’s only gonna go up from here,” she said, adding that the couple is excited to celebrate their upcoming anniversary—whether together or apart.
Though no concrete plans are in place yet, Siwa hinted they’ll mark the milestone in their own way.
The Dance Moms alum has also been open about how deeply she feels about Hughes, even admitting she’s started thinking about starting a family.
Recalling advice from Meghan Trainor, Siwa said she realized the depth of her love when she felt the desire to “duplicate” it.
“I love him so much. I need there to be a mini [Chris],” she shared, adding that even seeing a childhood photo of Hughes strengthened her dreams of having a family together.
Siwa previously admitted that her relationship with Hughes has shifted her perspective on marriage entirely.
“I’ve never craved a wedding,” she said on a podcast. “I used to just want to sign a paper or go to Vegas—but now I want the full experience… a ring, my dad walking me down the aisle, a first dance.”
