Daniel Neeleman reveals French inspired diet trick to prevent overeating
Satiation is achieved by Daniel Neeleman through drinking water between every food bite
Daniel Neeleman, of the popular Ballerina Farm homestead, has shared the specific dietary strategy he employs to maintain a lean physique and avoid overeating.
In an interview with GQ published on Tuesday, the father of nine explained that his method is inspired by a book regarding the dietary habits of French women.
Neeleman, who is married to "tradwife" influencer Hannah Neeleman, focuses on achieving a feeling of fullness through high liquid consumption during his meals.
"I really believe in liquid, getting full on liquid. When I go to eat, have a bite of food, and have two big gulps of water. I have a bite of food, and have three big gulps of water," Neeleman stated.
He noted that without this "crux" of his routine, he could easily exceed his daily calorie allowance of 2,400 in a single sitting.
"I can really pound food, so the liquid just helps me feel full without the calories," he added, dismissing concerns that water might disrupt his digestion.
Beyond his water intake, Neeleman prioritises clean eating and aims for at least 210 grams of protein daily. He attributed his awareness of processed foods to his wife’s sensitive stomach, which pushed the entire family toward a garden-to-table lifestyle involving lean proteins and home-grown vegetables.
"The cleaner I can eat, the better I do in my fitness routines and easier it is for me to lose bad fat and gain muscle," he noted.
The Neelemans continue to manage their vast Utah farm while producing content for their millions of global followers.
