Dakota Mortensen addresses breakup, says he was ‘waiting’ for Taylor Frankie Paul
The reality star made candid claims about their complicated breakup
Dakota Mortensen is speaking candidly about his past relationship with Taylor Frankie Paul, revealing he has yet to fully move on amid their ongoing legal battle.
During an appearance on Unwell Winter Games, Mortensen opened up about lingering feelings for his ex, admitting he had been “just waiting” for her and hoped they might eventually reconcile.
The reality star also alleged that their relationship ended under complicated circumstances, claiming Paul had been involved with another man while they were still seeing each other.
The comments come as the former couple remains embroiled in a highly public dispute in Utah courts, where both have sought restraining orders against one another.
A temporary protective order was recently granted in Paul’s favor, requiring Mortensen to stay a distance away from her until a scheduled court hearing later this month.
Mortensen, for his part, had previously been granted a temporary restraining order and awarded temporary custody of their young son.
Their legal conflict follows a series of controversies that have also impacted their professional lives. Production on their Hulu series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has reportedly been paused, with uncertainty surrounding whether filming will resume.
Paul was also expected to appear on The Bachelorette, but the season was pulled shortly before its premiere following resurfaced footage of a past incident.
