Robbie G.K. is eager to explore what follows after Kip's passionate kiss with Scott in Heated Rivalry Season 1
Robbie G.K. is eager to explore what follows after Kip's passionate kiss with Scott (François Arnaud) in Heated Rivalry Season 1.
The Canadian actor shared with People his thoughts on how the eagerly awaited second season of the Jacob Tierney-created series might delve deeper into the couple's development.
The romance between the two characters made its debut in a standout episode midway through the show, with G.K. portraying a graduate art student and smoothie barista and Arnaud as a prominent closeted hockey star.
“We find Scott and Kip at the peak of our storyline’s rollercoaster, and I feel there's so much more that could be explored beyond that point,” G.K. expressed to the publication. “I would love to see some of that.”
Adapted from Rachel Reid‘s Game Changers book series, the title's first novel follows the initial romance of Scott and Kip; in the Crave Canada series, their public display of affection triggers a significant change between leading characters and hockey rivals Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), prompting a heartfelt visit to a private retreat where they declare their love.
G.K. reflected on the “incredible” reaction to the show, which captivated audiences worldwide: “Being here on this carpet, especially here in Los Angeles, and witnessing the show’s impact, it’s gradually becoming more and more real every day, but yeah, it’s wonderful.”
Executive producer, writer, and director Tierney hinted to Deadline about his vision for Season 2, which possibly involves dividing the book it’s inspired by, The Long Game, into two parts.
The Letterkenny creator previously shared that the expected release for Season 2 is April 2027.
It's uncertain if Season 2 will include Scott and Kip's storylines, considering that The Long Game is directly tied to Shane and Ilya’s narrative.
The former couple takes on a supporting role in Common Goal, the fourth book in Reid’s series. The author is working on a seventh entry, titled Unrivaled, which will conclude the Hollanov trilogy.
