Taylor Swift reenters Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal battle before trial

Taylor Swift has found herself embroiled in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal dispute once again.

The pop icon’s name emerged in a set of questions — crafted "in cooperation" by Lively and Baldoni’s legal teams on Friday — intended to help choose jury members for their “It Ends With Us” trial scheduled for May.

Among a variety of queries is: “Are you familiar with any of the following individuals you might hear from or about throughout this trial?” according to court documents reviewed by Page Six.

Swift’s name surfaced after a lengthy list of other famous individuals who could possibly take the stand or be mentioned during the trial.

The attorneys have also noted to probe whether any potential jurors are acquainted with celebrities like Baldoni, or Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, her sister Robyn Lively, or various members of her “It Ends With Us” cast including Hasan Minhaj, Jenny Slate, and author Colleen Hoover.

A separate development in the case saw Baldoni’s team file another motion on Friday requesting the court for more time to scrutinise the "extensive volume" of Lively’s witness and exhibit lists presented by her attorneys in a joint pretrial filing this week.

“Lively’s lists currently present challenges for both pretrial and trial logistics, clouding the witnesses and exhibits the Wayfarer Parties will need to seriously address, and resulting in unnecessary stress at a crucial time where parties should focus on preparing for trial,” the motion reads.

Baldoni’s legal representatives assert that the “Gossip Girl” actress, 38, has filed a plethora of evidence items that have "limited pertinence or practical utility" and “exhibit minimal discernment regarding what may actually be permissible at trial.”

For instance, the team accused Lively of including a link to an article detailing a Taylor Swift cookie recipe and “a speech Lively delivered regarding her husband Ryan Reynolds’ commitment to his family” alongside numerous photos featuring Lively with Taylor Swift.

“It’s highly improbable Lively would display such materials, or that the jury would derive insight from them,” states the document.

The attorneys are asking for an extra week to assess the 68 exhibits Lively and her legal counsel have delivered to the court.

Previously reported, Baldoni secured a significant legal victory earlier this month when 13 of Lively’s allegations against the Wayfarer Studios co-founder were dismissed.

The two artists are set to contend in court over the three remaining accusations against Baldoni — breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting in retaliation — next month, following the rejection of settlement discussions by both parties.
