Barbie Ferreira admits defeat over scrapped Beyoncé video appearance
Despite the lost footage, Ferreira recalls an unforgettable invite from Beyoncé
Barbie Ferreira has opened up about a long-rumoured appearance in a shelved Beyoncé music video, admitting she has now “accepted” that the footage will likely never be released.
The Euphoria star revealed that she filmed a cameo roughly three and a half years ago during Beyoncé’s Renaissance era, but the project was ultimately scrapped—fueling skepticism among fans about whether it ever existed.
Speaking on In Your Dreams podcast, hosted by Owen Thiele, Ferreira said she has stopped holding out hope of seeing the final cut.
“It’ll never come out. I finally have accepted it,” she said, confirming the unreleased clip was for the track “THIQUE.”
Describing the experience, Ferreira noted the video was directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and reportedly featured appearances from Megan Thee Stallion, Shygirl and Carmen Electra.
“It was so cool,” she added, joking about the theme of the video while reflecting on the surreal moment.
Although the footage remains unreleased, Ferreira did take away a standout memory an invitation to Beyoncé’s birthday celebration.
The actress recalled feeling nervous ahead of meeting the global superstar and said she had a few drinks to steady her nerves.
“I got really drunk before so I could say happy birthday to her,” she admitted, describing the gathering as unexpectedly intimate.
Rather than a large-scale celebrity event, Ferreira said the party was a smaller affair with fewer than 50 guests, held at a roller rink.
“It was the best party I’ve ever been to,” she said, adding with appreciation, “Shout out to Beyoncé for even remembering I was in a music video that will never come out.”
