Why Adrian Grenier isn't in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2': A look at his life post-Hollywood
Adrian Grenier may have once been one of Hollywood’s familiar early-2000s leading men
Adrian Grenier may have once been one of Hollywood’s familiar early-2000s leading men, but the actor has quietly traded red carpets for ranch life in Texas — and says he has little interest in returning to the industry’s fast-paced spotlight.
Grenier, best known for playing Nate Cooper in The Devil Wears Prada and Vincent Chase in Entourage, recently revealed that he was disappointed not to be included in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
In an interview earlier this year, he said he had spoken with director David Frankel about the sequel and admitted he felt “let down” by his absence, though he joked that his polarising character might deserve a spin-off of his own.
Still, the omission appears far less significant now that Grenier has built an entirely different life away from Los Angeles.
Since 2020, the actor has been living on a ranch outside Austin with his wife Jordan Grenier and their two children.
He has said the move offered him a sense of peace, grounding and freedom from Hollywood’s constant social competition.
Grenier left the entertainment capital after years of feeling drained by its pressures and instead focused on entrepreneurship, environmental projects and family life.
He co-founded several business ventures, including a venture capital firm and a nature-inspired lifestyle brand, while also devoting time to sustainable land stewardship at what he calls Kintsugi Ranch.
Though he has not fully abandoned acting, taking occasional projects and hosting the tech-themed reality series CryptoKnights, Grenier has made clear that fatherhood and personal wellbeing now take priority over celebrity status.
His shift from Hollywood heartthrob to ranch-based entrepreneur reflects what he describes as a conscious effort to slow down, live more intentionally and focus on what matters beyond fame.
