Tori Spelling dreams of big family future ‘I can’t wait to be a grandma’
The actress says she’s excited to one day welcome grandchildren into her life
Tori Spelling has shared her excitement about one day becoming a grandmother, revealing she “can’t wait” to see her family grow—while also reflecting on a difficult period in her personal life.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 52, who shares four children—Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, and Finn, 13—with ex-husband Dean McDermott, admitted that while grandchildren may still be years away, she is already looking forward to the next chapter.
“Well, I can wait on this one but one day… I can’t wait to grow our family and be a grandma and a great grandma,” Spelling told Us Weekly.
Reflecting on her upbringing compared to her present life, Spelling noted she grew up in a smaller family but now envisions a much larger one in the future, filled with grandchildren and celebrations.
“I see the future… and it’s not right now, but I can’t wait to be that grandma… with so many grandchildren and babies running around,” she said, adding she looks forward to cooking for them and “celebrating life.”
Her comments come after a challenging few weeks, during which she and her children were involved in a car accident and she mourned the loss of former partner Patrick Muldoon, who died following a heart attack.
The emotional period, she said, has reinforced her outlook on life and the importance of cherishing each day.
“You have to celebrate it… life’s too short,” Spelling shared.
In a heartfelt tribute posted on social media, the actress remembered Muldoon—known for his role on Days of Our Lives—as a “true friend” who remained close to her even after their relationship ended.
She recalled their early connection, shared sense of humor, and his unwavering support over the years, particularly during difficult moments such as her divorce.
“He was special and one of a kind… the kindest, most caring human,” she wrote, adding that she now misses his humor and presence deeply.
Despite the recent hardships, Spelling’s focus remains on family, gratitude, and looking ahead to the future she hopes will one day include a new generation.
