Edoardo's surprise message to Princess Eugenie after her pregnancy announcement

Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie, who revealed on Monday that she is expecting her third baby with her spouse, Jack Brooksbank.

Among those to publicly express their joy was Princess Beatrice's husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Architect Edo, who tied the knot with Beatrice in 2020, added three red heart emojis beneath the post, showing public support from both him and his wife.

The pair enjoys a very warm bond as brother-in-law and sister-in-law, frequently sharing in family celebrations on social media.

Beatrice and Edo were the subject of marriage trouble rumors back in March, though friends assured HELLO! at the time that the reports "weren't accurate at all".

The gesture further suggests all is good in their marriage, as sisters Beatrice and Eugenie are famously very close.

Buckingham Palace shared the joyous announcement on Monday that Eugenie, the younger daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, is preparing to expand her family once more.

The announcement stated: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are thrilled to share that they are expecting their third child together, anticipated this summer.

"August (aged five) and Ernest (aged two) are equally excited to welcome another sibling into the fold. His Majesty The King has been informed and is overjoyed with the news."

Alongside the announcement was a charming picture of August and Ernie holding an image of a baby scan.

Jack and Eugenie exchanged vows in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in October 2018, and welcomed their first-born, August, on 9 February 2021. His younger sibling, Ernest, arrived on 30 May 2023.

The upcoming baby will take the 15th spot in line to the throne, dropping Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, to the 16th spot. Although part of the royal lineage, the baby will not hold an HRH title.

The upper part of the line of succession will remain unchanged. Eugenie's father, Andrew, continues to hold the eighth position in line to the throne, despite increasing pressure for his removal.

Eugenie's news and return to the public eye seem to signal a stepping back into the spotlight following Andrew's arrest in February.
