LeAnn Rimes breaks silence on reports linking her to ‘Real Housewives’ franchise
The singer denies reports claiming she is set to join 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'
Country singer LeAnn Rimes has shut down speculation linking her to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, insisting she has no interest in joining the hit reality franchise because there is already enough “drama” in her life.
Rumours about the Can’t Fight the Moonlight hitmaker joining the Bravo series began circulating earlier this week after gossip outlet DeuxMoi claimed her name had surfaced in casting discussions for the upcoming season.
However, Rimes quickly dismissed the reports while reacting to a clip shared from Rachel Lindsay and Chelsea Stark-Jones’ Morally Corrupt Bravo Show podcast.
“Omg, dying! SCHOOL QUEEN ?? no, no.... no housewives. for me,” the 43-year-old wrote in the comments section.
“Playing dixie on 911 Nashville is drama enough for me,” she added, referring to her acting role in 9-1-1: Nashville.
Although Rimes denied the rumours, the speculation appeared to reignite tensions with former Real Housewives personality Brandi Glanville, who seemingly reacted to the reports with a pointed social media post.
Without directly naming Rimes, Glanville wrote on X: “I hope it's true about RHOBH I mean she got everything else of mine- husband, kids, boobs, bronco, random illnesses she might as well just be a housewife and finish it off once and for all.”
The long-running feud between the two women dates back to the late 2000s when Rimes began a relationship with actor Eddie Cibrian while he was still married to Glanville. At the time, Rimes was also married to Dean Sheremet.
Rimes and Cibrian met while filming the 2009 TV movie Northern Lights. Following Cibrian and Glanville’s divorce in 2010, the singer married the actor the following year.
In previous interviews, Glanville has spoken candidly about the emotional toll of the affair, admitting she felt “broken” during that period of her life while trying to protect her two sons, Mason and Jake.
