Kevin Hart opens up about marriage journey with Eniko ahead of milestone anniversary
The couple, married since 2016, continue to focus on family and unity despite public scrutiny
Kevin Hart is reflecting on his marriage to wife Eniko Hart, sharing a heartfelt message of gratitude as the couple approaches their 10th wedding anniversary in August.
Speaking during a May 10 interview with E! News at Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart event, the comedian, 46, expressed appreciation for his longtime partner, calling her central to both his personal growth and family life.
“I appreciate you, I value you, I love you,” Hart said through the outlet. “Also, I need you. You’re the best.”
Reflecting on their journey together, Hart emphasized how their relationship has endured through challenges and continued to evolve over time.
“Anniversaries are celebrated through love daily,” he said. “We’re excited that we’re still here, that we’re still together, that we’re still growing an amazing household and family.”
His comments appeared to allude to his widely publicized 2017 cheating scandal, which occurred while Eniko was pregnant with their first child. At the time, Hart publicly apologized after acknowledging a “bad error in judgment” following an extortion attempt involving a private video.
Despite the controversy, Eniko later forgave the comedian, and the couple remained together, continuing to build their family and life in the years since.
Kevin and Eniko, who married in 2016, share two children: son Kenzo, 8, and daughter Kaori, 5.
Hart also has two older children, Heaven, 21, and Hendrix, 18, from his previous marriage to Torrei Hart.
Hart also connected his personal growth to his professional life, noting that his recent Netflix roast featuring appearances from friends, including Dwayne Johnson, Tom Brady, and others, has given him a chance to reflect on both his public image and his marriage.
“On a day like today, we look back, and we laugh,” he said. “Because I continue to put myself in positions that better define the history attached to me as an artist… that will also better define her word of support for a crazy person like myself.”
The couple’s milestone anniversary later this year marks nearly a decade of marriage, defined by both public scrutiny and private reconciliation.
