Taylor Swift channels bridal chic in $398 Retrofête mini dress amid wedding buzz
The Grammy winner dazzled in a sleek metallic mini dress while enjoying a stylish night out in Manhattan
Taylor Swift turned heads with a bridal-inspired fashion moment during a stylish night out in New York City this week.
The Grammy-winning singer stepped out for dinner with friends at Via Carota on Tuesday, May 12, wearing a shimmering winter white mini dress from Retrofête that quickly sparked conversation among fans.
Swift, 36, wore the brand’s $398 “Devika Knit Dress,” a metallic white design featuring a high neckline and pleated skirt.
According to the brand’s description, the look was “designed to shine after dark” while blending “modern style with timeless appeal.”
The elegant ensemble arrived amid growing excitement surrounding Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce, with many fans noting the distinctly bridal feel of the singer’s latest outing look.
The dinner appearance comes just days after Swift and Kelce attended wedding celebrations for George Karlaftis and Kaia Harris in Glyfada, Greece.
The couple reportedly joined friends and family for a lavish multi-day celebration following a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony.
Before their trip to Greece, Swift and Kelce also enjoyed a romantic outing in London, where they attended a performance of Romeo & Juliet starring Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Sink previously collaborated with Swift on All Too Well: The Short Film.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 through a joint Instagram post, playfully writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” referencing their fan-favorite “TNT” nickname.
The proposal reportedly took place in Kelce’s backyard, surrounded by elaborate floral arrangements. Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, later shared that Swift appeared to suspect something special was happening when she noticed the unexpected setup before dinner.
Since revealing their engagement, sources close to the couple have maintained that the pair are enjoying this chapter of their relationship without rushing wedding plans.
Another insider previously shared that both Swift and Kelce have approached the process “as a partnership,” with the couple said to be equally involved and excited about their future together.
Although Swift has spent much of her songwriting career exploring themes of love and commitment, the singer admitted in a previous interview that she never truly envisioned her own wedding until meeting Kelce.
“You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person,” Swift said during an interview with Emma Bunton on Heart Radio.
