Glen Powell reveals why he’s embracing his nonstop Hollywood workload
The 'Anyone But You' star said support from family and friends helps him stay grounded
Glen Powell says he has no plans to slow down his packed Hollywood schedule anytime soon, insisting that despite a string of high-profile projects, he is “not burnt out” and is genuinely enjoying the pace of his career.
The Anyone But You star, 37, recently reflected on his work ethic and attitude toward Hollywood’s demanding production schedules during an appearance on the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast, where he spoke about what he values most in collaborators.
“I mean, work ethic is something, especially when you’re on a film set and you have all these people kind of investing in something, I love that quality,” Powell said, highlighting his admiration for colleagues who bring consistent dedication to set.
Powell, who has recently earned strong reviews for the Hulu series Chad Powers, said some people have expressed concern about his busy workload. However, he dismissed the idea that he is overextending himself.
“People are worried about me,” he noted, “but I’m having a blast.”
The actor also opened up about how he manages to balance multiple commitments, including acting and executive producing, while maintaining a sense of stability in his personal life.
Powell revealed that part of his current workload includes co-creating a television project set in the world of college football, a subject he says he is deeply passionate about.
“I’m getting to co-create a show with one of my great friends, and live in a world that I really love,” he said, adding that the project allows him to work closely with a talented ensemble cast.
He described the experience as especially rewarding because it blends his professional interests with personal passions, making the demanding schedule feel more like an opportunity than a burden.
Despite his hectic commitments across film and television, Powell insisted he is not experiencing burnout, crediting his close relationships for keeping him grounded.
He explained that his family and friends are often able to visit him on set, helping him maintain a sense of balance and preventing him from feeling disconnected from his personal life.
