Lainey Wilson and Devlin Hodges reflect on 'perfect' wedding days
The couple made their red carpet debut days later at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas
Lainey Wilson and her new husband Devlin Hodges are opening up about their wedding celebration, calling the intimate Tennessee ceremony the “coolest wedding ever.”
Just days after tying the knot on May 10 in Dickson, Tennessee, the newlyweds made their red carpet debut as husband and wife at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, where they reflected on the emotional and unforgettable day.
“It was exactly what we wanted it to be,” Wilson shared during interviews at the event. “We had our closest friends and family there, and it was just a night that we’ll never forget.”
The country star added that the celebration felt so special she believes guests will be talking about it “forever.”
“We think we had the coolest wedding ever,” she said.
Wilson revealed that one of the most emotional moments came before the ceremony itself, when the couple exchanged private vows and she saw Hodges for the first time that day.
“That was really special,” she said, describing the moment as “magical.”
Hodges also reflected on seeing Wilson in her wedding dress for the first time, calling it one of the most unforgettable moments of the entire day.
“She just looked unbelievable,” he said, adding that despite being surrounded by family and celebrity guests, the night still felt deeply personal between the two of them.
“I felt like all night, me and her were just together in our own little world,” he shared.
The wedding reportedly took place at The Ruskin in Tennessee and included several high-profile guests from the country music world, including Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Lauren Alaina, Jelly Roll and Ella Langley.
Wilson joked that despite the star-studded guest list, nobody unexpectedly grabbed the microphone during the celebration — though she teased Jelly Roll about performing.
The couple also revealed they kept the atmosphere relaxed and low-pressure, even telling guests not to stress about the dress code.
“You can wear your birthday suit. We don’t give a damn,” Wilson joked.
Following the wedding, the pair spent several days together in Sedona, Arizona, enjoying a brief newlywed getaway before returning to public appearances and professional commitments.
The celebration marks a major new chapter for Wilson and Hodges, whose relationship has increasingly become one of country music’s most talked-about romances.
