Camille Grammer recalls 'very harsh' text from ex Kelsey Grammer after painful split
The reality star said the aftermath left her feeling overwhelmed and isolated
Camille Grammer has opened up about the emotional fallout from her divorce from Kelsey Grammer, revealing that a blunt message from her ex-husband left her devastated during an already turbulent period in her life.
Speaking on the May 18 episode of Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Minkoff’s Humble Brag podcast, the 57-year-old said she has not spoken to the Frasier star, 71, in 14 years following their contentious 2010 split.
Camille recalled that Kelsey once sent her a text that read, “I feel no remorse for what I am doing,” a message she described as deeply painful given the state of their marriage at the time.
“And that was very harsh because I was very much in love with him, and I believed he was very much in love with me,” she said, reflecting on the breakdown of their relationship after his admission of an affair with flight attendant Kayte Walsh, whom he later married.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said the separation left her emotionally overwhelmed, especially as it played out publicly on reality television.
“I was broken. I broke, I’m gonna be honest,” she said, adding that the pressure from public scrutiny and online criticism made the experience even harder to endure.
Camille described feeling targeted from multiple directions during that time, including media coverage, audience reactions, and what she called efforts to protect Kelsey’s public image.
“I was getting it from all sides,” she said, explaining that the situation became emotionally suffocating and difficult to escape.
At one point, she even told producers she was struggling to cope. “I don’t know how I’m gonna stay alive through this,” she recalled, saying the experience reached a very dark emotional point for her.
