Mikayla Nogueira calls divorce process ‘agonizing’ while preparing for court appearance

Mikayla Nogueira has opened up about the emotional toll of her ongoing divorce from Cody Hawken, describing the experience as the “hardest thing” she has ever gone through as she prepared to appear in court this week.

In a May 20 TikTok, the 27-year-old beauty influencer shared a candid look at her morning routine as she got ready for her divorce proceedings, telling followers she was struggling with anxiety ahead of the legal step.

“Quite frankly, I could throw up,” Nogueira said in the video. “I would not wish divorce on anybody. This has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life.”

Nogueira revealed that she was heading to court as part of ongoing divorce proceedings with Hawken, 28, after first announcing their split in February.

The couple married in July 2023, less than two years after getting engaged.

She also noted that while the process has been difficult, there is some sense of direction as the case moves forward. According to Nogueira, a trial date has already been set for July, which she described as both “agonizing” and relieving in its clarity.

“The main thing I've learned about divorce is that you don't just sign a piece of paper and call it a day. It takes an extremely long time,” she said. “For me, I at least have an end in sight.”

In a follow-up TikTok, Nogueira documented her preparation for the court appearance, including choosing an outfit and trying to maintain a positive mindset despite the emotional weight of the day.

“I need to be serving c---,” she said. “Whatever happens, happens. I'm going into this with a very positive mindset, and I hope to leave there with one, too.”

A spokesperson for the Norfolk Probate and Family Court in Massachusetts confirmed on May 21 that a divorce case involving Nogueira and Hawken is ongoing, though details remain private due to sealed records.

Representatives for both Nogueira and Hawken did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Nogueira first announced the separation earlier this year, telling followers at the time that the relationship held many meaningful memories despite the split.

She also asked for privacy around discussions involving Hawken’s personal struggles, emphasizing that the issues were separate from their marriage.
