Big Sean reveals Justin and Hailey Bieber thanked him Aater Coachella moment
The rapper recalled forgetting much of what he said moments after leaving the stage
Big Sean has opened up about the emotional message he delivered during Justin Bieber’s Coachella 2026 performance, revealing that the heartfelt speech was completely unplanned.
The rapper made a surprise appearance during Bieber’s Weekend 2 headline set on April 18, where he briefly addressed the crowd with a personal message centered on growth, emotional well-being, and resilience.
Speaking later at the Mindful Nation Mental Health Awareness Month event held at Live Nation’s Beverly Hills headquarters, Big Sean reflected on the unexpected moment and said the speech came entirely from instinct.
“I didn’t know I was gonna say what I said on stage. I was just inspired,” he explained.
According to the Detroit-born artist, the atmosphere during the performance felt deeply emotional, and he admitted he barely remembered what he had said after leaving the stage.
“When I got offstage, people were telling me what I said was powerful,” he recalled. “I was like, ‘What did I even say?’ I had to go back and listen.”
Big Sean added that Bieber and his wife, Hailey Bieber, later contacted him to express appreciation for the message and its impact.
“They hit me days later and said they were still feeling good about it and really appreciated what I said,” he shared. “Justin told me I was dropping bars, but I didn’t even plan it like that.”
The rapper also reflected on Bieber’s personal journey in the public spotlight, noting that the singer has spent much of his life navigating fame while continuing to evolve both personally and professionally.
The Coachella appearance marked another high-profile moment for Bieber, whose performances and public appearances in recent years have frequently sparked conversations around mental health, personal growth, and artistic reinvention.
