David Harbour reunites with ‘Stranger Things’ cast at public events after months of absence

David Harbour reunited with several of his Stranger Things costars on Thursday, May 21, marking a notable public appearance following months of speculation surrounding tensions from the show’s final season production period.

Harbour, 51, appeared alongside Natalia Dyer, Noah Schnapp, and Jamie Campbell Bower at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations event celebrating Stranger Things. The group later reunited on the carpet at Netflix’s Stranger Things Emmys FYSEE event held at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

The appearances come roughly seven months after Harbour skipped multiple promotional events tied to the series’ finale, fueling online discussion about possible off-screen tensions among cast members during filming.

Notably absent from both events was Millie Bobby Brown, who played Eleven — the adoptive daughter of Harbour’s character Jim Hopper — in the hit Netflix series.

Reports of alleged friction between Harbour and Brown circulated in late 2025, including claims that Brown had filed a bullying and harassment complaint against her co-star during production.

While those reports prompted industry attention, Brown later addressed the relationship publicly, emphasizing unity and mutual respect between the two actors.

“We have always been united in that,” Brown said in a November 2025 interview. “We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything.”

Harbour and Brown also appeared together at the show’s final season premiere, further suggesting a professional front amid the reported dispute.

During Thursday’s events, Harbour joined cast members, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, and executive producer Shawn Levy in celebrating the cultural impact of the long-running sci-fi series as it approaches its conclusion.

Several other key cast members — including Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Winona Ryder, and Brett Gelman — were not present at the Los Angeles events.
