Texas middle school teacher arrested on child grooming charge over alleged student chats

A Texas middle school teacher has been arrested on a child grooming charge after she was accused of allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual communications with multiple students, according to law enforcement officials.

Haley Krista Radabaugh, 28, an art teacher at Barbara Bush Middle School in Irving, Texas, was taken into custody by the Denton Police Department following an arrest warrant issued by Irving police.

Jail records confirm she has been charged with child grooming, a third-degree felony.

Authorities said the arrest followed reports from multiple students who came forward with allegations involving inappropriate interactions with the teacher.

According to an arrest warrant cited by local media, at least three students reported being involved in sexualized conversations with Radabaugh, with investigators also examining claims that she provided drugs to students.

The warrant details alleged messages exchanged between Radabaugh and a 14-year-old student via Instagram.

In one exchange, she allegedly wrote: “I’ll tell you what. You send me a photo of you, and I’ll send you one of me,” along with comments referencing a previous romantic interest in another student.

Investigators also allege Radabaugh used flirtatious language and emojis in conversations with students and referred to one student as “babe.”

In another instance, she is accused of sending a photo appearing to show herself exiting a shower, which included her face and upper body but did not depict nudity.

Police documents further state that one student reported feeling “disgusted” and said the communications caused him to lose sleep.

Radabaugh was arrested on May 15 in Denton, Texas, and booked into Denton County Jail without incident. She was later released after posting a $25,000 bond, according to jail records.

Officials confirmed she is no longer employed by the school district. The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District said it is “deeply distressed and disheartened” by the allegations and confirmed she is a former employee.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Radabaugh has obtained legal representation. The investigation remains ongoing.
