Katie Price tells jailed husband Lee Andrews no one will fund his GoFundMe campaign
Katie Price told Lee Andrews she has never given a man money and never will in her life
- Price refused to pay £140,000 to secure Andrews' release from Dubai's Al Awir jail.
- Andrews asked Price to set up a GoFundMe, to which she responded nobody would donate.
- The couple have only been married since February 2026, just months before the Dubai crisis.
The latest development in Katie Price's troubled marriage has left her husband Lee Andrews facing an indefinite stay in a Dubai jail, after the sum required to secure his release reached a figure Price has flatly refused to pay.
The saga gripped the public from the moment the former page three model confirmed on This Morning that Andrews had failed to board his flight home from Dubai. Price filed an official missing person report days later, setting off weeks of mounting speculation.
Initial rumours varied wildly — Price herself suggested he may have been kidnapped, while a journalist claimed he was deliberately hiding in Dubai after allegedly taking money from his new wife.
It eventually emerged that Andrews had been arrested and was held in a well-known Dubai jail. Although a swift release had been anticipated, that now appears increasingly unlikely.
The £140,000 release fee
Price travelled to Dubai prepared to pay what she believed was a £6,500 release fee. It subsequently emerged that the actual sum required was £140,000, reportedly because Andrews is allegedly connected to a separate case. Price has declined to pay it.
The couple have been married officially only since February 2026, and the honeymoon period appears to be firmly behind them. When Andrews reportedly asked Price to set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise public funds for his release, she gave him short shrift.
According to The Sun, she humorously responded: "No-one will do that for you, Lee, trust me. Everyone hates you."
Despite styling himself as a self-proclaimed "billionaire," Andrews appears to be in no position to fund his own release, a situation made more complicated by reports that he has previously taken money from former partners.
Price has been equally clear on where she stands financially.
"I've made it clear to Lee, I will never give him money, I'll never give a man money, I've done it all my life, I've always been the breadwinner. My divorces, I'm the one that always has to give. I said to Lee I'll never do it," she said.
Price stands firm — but says she still cares
Despite everything, Price has indicated that her feelings for Andrews remain intact and that she genuinely wants to assist him — though any resolution will require a different arrangement to be reached.
"This is real, this is real life; this is my life. It has been a tough few weeks, don't get me wrong. But I've still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face," she said.
"So, in this situation, I'm doing what I want to do, and I'm out here in Dubai, because I'm here to help Lee.
"Some people might not like my choices, but I'm not living for everyone else. I know people have been calling me stupid, I see all the trolling, I hear it. I am not stupid."
Price has also reportedly met with one of Andrews' former partners, who pursued legal action against him after he allegedly obtained a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge. A separate ex-girlfriend claimed he took £123,000 from her for investment in his company — money she never recovered.
