Nicole Kidman reacts to Este Haim’s hilarious ‘Knicole Kidman’ Knicks shirt
The Haim sisters and Taylor Swift wore playful Knicks-inspired designs at Madison Square Garden
Nicole Kidman has joined in on the fun after Este Haim paid tribute to the actress with a playful Knicks-themed shirt during the NBA Finals.
The Hollywood star shared her appreciation for the custom outfit after Este Haim, along with sister Alana Haim and friend Taylor Swift, showed off their personalised New York Knicks gear during Game 4 of the NBA Finals on June 10 at Madison Square Garden.
The trio arrived wearing shirts inspired by their favourite icons and wordplay, with Este wearing a blue Knicks shirt that read “Knicole Kidman,” Swift wearing “Stevie Knicks” in honour of Stevie Nicks, and Alana wearing “Knickleback” as a nod to the rock band Nickelback.
After the shirts appeared on the arena’s Jumbotron during the game, Kidman reposted the moment on her Instagram Stories and shared her support.
“Right there with you girls! [emoji],” she wrote alongside the image.
Kidman also shared a video of the Haim sisters and Swift singing along to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” adding: “My girls! I just wanna have fun!”
The custom shirts were created by Alana Haim herself, who later revealed that designing personalised clothing for friends has become one of her creative hobbies.
According to reports, Alana purchased simple royal blue shirts and customised them using screen-printing techniques and a Cricut cutting machine she keeps at home.
She explained that the idea started as a fun way to celebrate attending the game and create something memorable.
“We really just wanted to have fun, because we were so excited that we were going to the game, and I thought it would make people laugh, so we put them on shirts and all decided to wear them,” Alana said.
The musician also revealed that Swift specifically requested the “Stevie Knicks” shirt, recalling the excitement of receiving the message from the pop superstar.
“She said, ‘I want to wear this shirt to the game, can you make it for me?’ and I was like, ‘I thought you would never ask, this is my dream,’” Alana shared.
The celebrity-filled night at Madison Square Garden also included appearances from stars such as Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Mariska Hargitay, Spike Lee, Adam Sandler, Michael J. Fox and many others.
The famous attendees witnessed NBA history as the Knicks completed a dramatic comeback against the San Antonio Spurs, overcoming a 29-point deficit to win 107-106 in the largest single-game comeback in NBA Finals history.
The Knicks currently lead the best-of-seven series and continue their pursuit of their first championship since 1973.
