Macaulay Culkin shares sweet relationship regret after 9 years with Brenda Song
The 'Home Alone' star shared a sweet anniversary message while celebrating nearly a decade together
Macaulay Culkin is reflecting on his relationship with Brenda Song and the one thing he wishes he could change about their love story.
The actor, 45, shared a heartfelt tribute to Song, 38, as the couple celebrated nine years together, revealing that his only regret is that they did not meet sooner.
Alongside a photo of the pair, Culkin wrote on Instagram, “Today marks a very special day for me. It’s been 9 years since my life changed forever.”
The Home Alone star continued by sharing how meaningful their time together has been, writing, “It’s amazing to think that 1 in every 5 days I’ve been alive I have had the honor of waking up next to the love of my life.”
“My only regret is that we haven’t had more time together,” he added. “Thank you for my everything.”
Culkin and Song began dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of the film Changeland. The couple later welcomed two children together, sons Dakota, 5, and Carson, 3.
Song has previously opened up about the challenges of motherhood, admitting that she sometimes forgets to prioritize herself while caring for her children.
“As moms, you are running around all the time,” she told People. “You have so much on your plate, even when you don't realize it.”
She explained that caring for her children often means putting her own needs aside.
“You forget to sometimes take care of yourself,” she said.
The actress also shared that becoming a mother changed the way she views her own mom, saying parenthood gave her a deeper appreciation for everything her mother did.
“I look at my mom and I'm like, ‘I don't know how she does it,’” Song said, recalling the moment she apologized to her mother after becoming a parent herself.
