Gwen Stefani marked Blake Shelton's 50th birthday on Thursday, 18 June, with a heartfelt video compilation on Instagram, featuring throwback photographs of the country singer and a glimpse of his birthday decorations, set to the pair's duet Happy Anywhere.

The No Doubt Singer, 56, opened the compilation video with footage of Shelton's birthday decor, which included balloons and flowers arranged for the occasion. The clip then moved through a series of photographs of Shelton across the years, including a throwback selfie of the couple together, before ending on a wide shot of his birthday decorations. Stefani captioned the post: "happy birthday blakeshelton I love you !!!!!!!"

Mutual support on the Las Vegas strip

The birthday tribute came weeks after Shelton showed his own public support for Stefani. In May, he attended one of No Doubt's concerts at the Sphere in Las Vegas and celebrated his wife on social media afterwards. "So proud of my wife gwenstefani and the nodoubt guys for working their asses off and putting on this hell of a show.. finally got a night off to see it.. un-freakin-real," Shelton wrote on Instagram, alongside videos of himself cheering from the crowd.

Competing residencies and friendly rivalry

The support was particularly notable given that Shelton had been running his own Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, with several of his dates overlapping with No Doubt's Sphere concerts. Speaking with People in January 2026, Shelton joked about being in "direct competition with my wife" and predicted "probably a little bit of trash talking" between the two.

He also acknowledged the difference in venue size with characteristic self-deprecation. "Whether we both sell out, there's a big difference in selling out the Sphere and selling out Caesars, so she'll have that over my head," he said, comparing the Colosseum's 4,100 seats to the Sphere's capacity of 20,000.

From The Voice to Oklahoma vows

Stefani and Shelton first crossed paths in 2014 while serving as coaches on The Voice. The couple married in July 2021 at their Oklahoma ranch in a backyard chapel ceremony. Last July, on their fourth wedding anniversary, both marked the milestone with affectionate posts on social media.

"My pretty girl... I'm the luckiest man to be married to you and to know you. I love you gwenstefani!!!!!! Happy anniversary!!!!" Shelton wrote on Instagram. Stefani echoed the sentiment on her own page, writing: "7-3-21. every day i thank God for u blakeshelton. happy anniversary i love u so much"
