Bailey Zimmerman faces arrest warrant over alleged hotel destruction incident

Bailey Zimmerman is facing an arrest warrant after allegedly causing more than $16,000 worth of damage to a hotel room in New Mexico.

The country singer, 26, has reportedly been accused of criminal damage to property over $1,000, a fourth-degree felony, along with a misdemeanor charge for allegedly obtaining services under false pretenses.

According to an affidavit connected to the warrant, the incident happened ahead of Zimmerman’s scheduled performance at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque on May 27, which was cancelled hours before the show due to illness.

The document claimed that before the cancellation, Zimmerman appeared to be showing signs of intoxication during sound check and interactions with venue staff.

The affidavit alleged that the “Rock and a Hard Place” singer walked onto the stage, grabbed a guitar and struck it against the ground before falling backward. He was also accused of throwing cymbals, damaging equipment, pushing a guitarist, and throwing his microphone before leaving the stage.

Authorities also alleged that Zimmerman spat toward a security officer while leaving the venue and initially refused to enter his waiting vehicle because it was not the color he expected.

The singer later returned to the resort with an injury on his knee and was reportedly seen walking toward his hotel room. Police were called after he allegedly became disorderly when asked to leave the property, though he eventually cooperated.

The following morning, hotel staff reportedly discovered extensive damage inside his room, including a broken television, phone, chairs, and coffee table, along with a hole in the wall. Two chairs were also reported missing.

The hotel additionally claimed that around $400 worth of alcohol charges had been added to the room but remained unpaid.

After multiple attempts to contact Zimmerman were reportedly unsuccessful, authorities issued the arrest warrant.

Before the incident became public, Zimmerman apologized to fans after cancelling the concert and another scheduled performance, explaining that he needed time to recover.

“I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I’m not able to give you all the show you deserve,” he wrote on Instagram.

The allegations against Zimmerman have not been proven in court.
