Patrick J. Adams suggests AI lawsuit plot for Meghan Markle
Television actor Patrick J. Adams proposed a new spin-off plot centring on an AI company lawsuit
Suits actor Patrick J. Adams shared a fictional spin-off plot on Friday featuring a legal battle where his character and the character played by Meghan Markle launch a class action lawsuit against a giant AI company. The actor posted the hypothetical storyline on Instagram Stories, proposing multiple expansion series for the legal drama franchise. Adams confirmed his personal availability for future iterations of the programme, though fellow cast members, including Markle, have not publicly commented on the concept.
The actor jokingly detailed concepts for Suits Chicago and Suits NYC, culminating in a final series titled Suits Seattle. Under his proposed narrative, main characters Mike Ross and Rachel Zane would manage a significant legal challenge against the technology firm. Adams wrote that Mike and Rachel would work on a class action suit against a giant AI company when past indiscretions and illegal manoeuvring at their former law firm, Pearson Hardman, threaten to emerge.
The pitched storyline suggested that the unfolding AI company litigation and subsequent revelations would jeopardise the lives of other central characters. Adams noted that the narrative would threaten Harvey and Donna's life before it really started, cut Jessica's political career off at the knees, and cause Louis to lose the firm. Despite outlining the detailed narrative, Adams clarified that no official production plans exist for these specific projects. He noted that decision-makers seemingly walked away after developing the upcoming spin-off Suits LA.
Adams expressed a desire to reunite the original cast, stating that the world felt like a corrupt cesspool and it would be entertaining to watch the legal team attempt to do the right thing. The actor concluded his social media statement by reiterating his availability for future filming, though network executives have made no announcements regarding the suggested spin-offs.
