Claudia Sulewski reveals whether she will take Finneas' last name after wedding

Claudia Sulewski shared how she plans to handle her surname after marrying fiancé Finneas O'Connell, saying she intends to keep her professional identity while making a legal change.

Sulewski plans to keep her public name

The content creator and entrepreneur discussed her wedding plans during an appearance on the Hot Smart Rich with Maggie Sellers Reum podcast, where she revealed she has no intention of abandoning the name she has built her career around.

Sulewski said her public name will remain Claudia Sulewski because it is closely tied to her personal brand and business ventures.

However, she explained that she plans to legally change her name to Claudia Sulewski O'Connell after the wedding.

Rather than replacing her surname entirely, she said O'Connell will effectively become part of her legal name, filling the place of a middle name, which she has never had.

Couple have been together for more than seven years

Sulewski and Finneas O'Connell first met through a dating app and quickly developed a close relationship.

Reflecting on their early days together, she said they connected immediately because both were honest about their feelings and avoided playing games.

The couple announced their engagement in September 2025 after O'Connell proposed. They shared the news on social media with photographs from the proposal.

Sulewski praises fiancé's support

During the podcast, Sulewski also spoke about the support she receives from her fiancé, saying he has stood by her throughout the highs and lows of her career.

She said O'Connell has witnessed every stage of her professional journey, from moments of self-doubt to celebrating major achievements, adding that he remains one of her biggest supporters.

The musician, who frequently collaborates with his sister Billie Eilish and recently composed the score for Netflix's Beef season two, has also become actively involved in planning their wedding.

Finneas takes active role in wedding planning

Earlier this year, Sulewski revealed that wedding preparations were still in the early stages but said she had been pleasantly surprised by how much input O'Connell wanted to have.

According to Sulewski, her fiancé has shared more opinions on the celebration than either of them expected, making the planning process feel like a joint effort rather than something she had to manage alone.

The couple have been together for more than seven years and are preparing to tie the knot following their 2025 engagement.
